Muslim Press - Iran has started making a new version of its air - launched homegrown cruise missile named Nasr(Victory). “The mass production of Nasr Missile is part of Iran’s strategy to enhance its military capabilities and upgrade its defense system,” says Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan. Nasr was originally designed as an anti-ship cruise missile, but the country’s experts were able to upgrade and employ it for aerial missions. The air-launched version of Nasr can be mounted on different types of fighter jets, Iran’s Defense Minister added. The missile doesn’t need any additional controls, allowing the warplane to immediately leave the danger zone after launching its projectile, he explained.
