Muslim Press- Afghanistan ' s intelligence service confirmed the death of a key ISIS leader in an airstrike in the eastern region of the country. He was among the highest - ranking leaders loyal to the ISIS terrorist group in Afghanistan." Hafez Sayeed was among 30 militants killed in an airstrike Friday in Nagarhar province, " spokesman for the National Directorate of Security Abdul Hassib Sediqi said on Saturday. Sediqi said that Afghanistan ' s intelligence service revealed the location of the militants to US forces carrying out the strike. Afghan government officials have claimed that ISIS militant are acting actively in at least three provinces of the country, but this has not been confirmed.
