Three daycare workers have been fired following suspension of a 20-month-old boy from a doorknob by his shirt at the center, police say. One of the staff at a KinderCare center in Framingham, Massachusetts, suspended the baby while the two others took pictures on October 10, police said on Saturday. The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, which has launched a probe into the matter, said in a statement that "EEC is working with local law enforcement and the Department of Children and Families to investigate the incident, and has learned that this educator was immediately suspended by KinderCare." Meanwhile, Knowledge Universe, the parent company of KinderCare, released a statement, calling the incident “completely inappropriate and out of line.” "As we move forward, we will be doing everything in our power, including retraining all center staff, to ensure that nothing like this occurs again," the statement read.
