The Deputy Oil Minister of Iran said that the country has exported its first gasoil load to Afghanistan. CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company said that as the delivery of gas to power plants has been optimized there is less need for gasoil for domestic consumption, "Therefore, the surplus amount of gasoil produced in oil refineries will be exported abroad.” Pointing out that Iran has held talks with a number of neighbor countries for deal in gasoil Abbas Kazemi stated "As a contract asserted, Iran exported its first gasoil load to Afghanistan.” Further adding that the oil company is distributing Euro 4 gasoil to big cities he said "Right now something between 24 and 25 million liters of Euro 4 gasoil is being distributed in Tehran, Arak, Mashhad, and Karaj daily.” Iran’s refineries have produced 2.275 billion liters of gasoil so far this year, Mehr News Agency reports.
