INTER MILAN will battle Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool for the signature of rising Hellas Verona star Jorginho after entering the race to sign the midfielder.
The 21 - year - old is attracting huge interest across Europe and was watched by representatives of both Arsenal and Chelsea in his side ' s 3-2 victory over Parma. Jorginho netted twice in that win, which helped newly promoted Verona climb to fourth in the Serie A. Despite claiming earlier this week he was eager to stay at the club for another season, Inter are ready to test Verona ' s resolve with a January bid for his services. Inter, who sit only a point behind Verona in the table, are keen to add to their attacking options and according to reports in Italy new owner Erick Thohir has earmarked Jorginho as one of his top targets. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers failed with a summer move to bring Jorginho to Anfield, but is likely to renew his interest in the new year along with Arsenal and Chelsea. Verona manager Andrea Mandorlini is unwilling to let his star player leave the Stadio Marc ' Antonio Bentegodi and will drive a hard bargain by demanding at least £10m. Jorginho has already
netted five times from midfield in his first nine appearances in Italy ' s top division.
