Islamic parties and organizations in Iraq annually observed the International Quds Day during the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. The occasion is regarded as one of the most important days declared by the founder of Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini. Every year, Iraqi officials participate in the rallies aimed to unite all Muslims.
People have marched in the capital Baghdad, Najaf, Basra, and other cities in support of the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli regime. The protesters demand that Palestinians should be given the right to return to their homeland. They also called on the international community to stop Israeli crimes against the Palestinians. Iraqis have marked the International Quds Day at a time that the country is facing political unrest and an upsurge in violence. However, Iraqis came to the streets to express their support for the Palestinian people and all the vulnerable in the world.
