Held at Tehran ' s Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Ground, the ceremony was attended by the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as well as Iran’s top Quranic, cultural and political figures.
Underlining the great potentials the exhibit enjoys, Culture Ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy Hojat - ol - Islam Hamid Mohammadi underlined the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s emphasis on the key issue of Quranic lifestyle as the best way for creating a Quranic civilization.
“In the 9th administration, the ground was set for creating Quranic structures and in the current one, the Quranic efforts bore fruits”, he further added delivering a report on the Quranic activities of the 9th and 10th(current) administrations.
As he said, “Quranic Lifestyle” has been chosen as the fair’s motto.
The official underscored the creation of 7 new Quranic structures in government bodies like the Ministry of Health, Science Ministry, Education Ministry, Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, and the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
Mohammadi also asserted that the government budget for Quranic activities has become multifold under the current administration as the number of Quranic institutes in Iran has grown from 180 to over 2,000 today.
He further called on the coming administration, which will be inaugurated on August 3, to ensure the continuation of the country’s Quranic progress through paying attention to the issues of culture - building and system - building in the Quranic field.
