The Yemeni Army and the Popular committees have attacked a gathering of Saudi forces in the kingdom’s southwestern province of Jizan using Katyusha rockets, according to a military source.

In a retaliatory attack against the Saudi-led coalition forces, the missile command of the Yemeni army launched rockets targeting positions of the Saudi military in a district in Jizan, the source was quoted by the Arabic-language al-Masirah television network.

The Yemeni forces also destroyed a military vehicle of the Saudis in another operation in Jizan and killed a Saudi serviceman.

In yet another incident, the Yemeni forces repelled a massive attack by Saudi mercenaries in Nihm District, located in Sana’a Province.

The attacks came in retaliation for the continued massacre of Yemeni civilians by Saudi Arabia, as well as the destruction of the poor country’s infrastructure by the Saudi-led coalition.

For more than two years, Yemeni civilians have been under massive attacks by the coalition. Riyadh, however, has not reached any of its objectives in the country.

Since March 2015, the Saudis – backed by their regional allies – launched a massive military campaign against the Houthi Ansarullah movement as to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former president.

More than 12,000 people have been killed in the deadly aggression.
