Referring to the ongoing crises in Yemen and Bahrain which are backed by Riyadh, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said those who are carrying out such “anti-religious acts” are doomed to fail.

The time of their collapse depends on the actions of Muslims, Ayatollah Khamenei said in a Quranic meeting on Saturday, adding that if the Muslims across the world act correctly, the collapse of such oppressors would be accelerated.

He also said that the “incompetent” Saudi rulers are not sincere in their belief in the Quran and act in contradiction to the teachings of Islam.

“Unfortunately today, the Islamic society, like other societies, is facing problems and the fate of some Islamic societies is in the hands of incompetent individuals like [those] in the Saudi government,” the Iranian Leader said.

He also slammed the Saudis for trying to establish cordial relationship with the enemies of Islam, saying there should never be such intimacy.

It came after U.S. President Donald Trump made a visit to Saudi Arabia, during which he clinched a huge arms deal with the Saudis.

Backed by the United States, Saudi Arabia has been waging a war against Yemen since 2015, killing thousands of innocent civilians. Riyadh is also supporting the Bahraini regime in its bloody crackdown against dissidents.
