ISIS militant group has attacked the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) offices in the city of Khabarovsk, killing at least two people and injuring one.

FSB press service reported that on Friday, an 18-year-old Khabarovsk resident entered the FSB office building at 17:02 local time and started shooting at people in the waiting room.

The attacker killed one officer and one visitor. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Security guards shot dead the attacker after he launched the assault.

Local media reported that the visitor who was killed in the accident was a citizen of one of the CIS countries.

Another lone wolf, associated with ISIS, also launched an attack in Paris, killing a police officer and injuring two others.

The attack which was carried out on Thursday targeted the city’s Champs-Elysees district, which is hugely popular with tourists and shoppers.

On Saturday, ISIS launched a chemical attack in a recently-liberated area in western Mosul, severely injuring dozens of Iraqi soldiers.

According to security sources, missiles loaded with chlorine were fired at al-Abar neighborhood. More than seven troops were injured in the attack and were treated for respiratory problems.

The Iraqi army launched an operation to retake western Mosul on February 19.
