Lebanese Prime Minister Sa’ad Hariri has warned against Israeli regime’s recent actions, saying it shows Israel’s willingness for a new conflict.

Hariri said in an interview with France24 TV that it is Israel who wants to launch a war against Lebanon, not Hezbollah.

Dismissing concerns that Hezbollah might provoke a conflict with Israel, the Lebanese Prime Minister said, “Israel does not want the Arabs to rest. Look at the daily Israeli violations of our airspace, land and territorial waters.”

The remarks came after Israel unveiled a new system designed to intercept medium-range missile and announced that the system has become operational.

While unveiling the new defense system, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Tel Aviv’s enemies have “put themselves in existential danger” if they try to attack Israel.

“I will reiterate, that whoever wants to strike us will be beaten, and those who threaten our existence are putting their own lives at risk,” he said.

The missile system, dubbed “David’s Sling”, was unveiled a month after Israeli warplanes targeted several areas in Syria.

The move drew retaliatory missile fire from Syrian forces. This could be called the most serious incident between the two sides since the start of the foreign-backed war in Syria in 2011.
