After viewing extremist propaganda online, Mubashir Jamil allegedly claimed he wanted 'to see another attack like Belgium'

Former straight-A student wanted to blow himself up here if he could not fight for ISIS in Syria, the Old Bailey heard.

Mubashir Jamil, 22, told an ISIS contact he was willing to use put on a suicide vest and “press the button on the same day”, it was claimed.

The court heard how the avid computer gamer became obsessed with “martyrdom” after trawling the web for ISIS propaganda.

In encrypted chat with an apparent ISIS contact in Syria, he allegedly said: “I mean if they need someone to do attack from UK I can do it tomorrow.

“If I can’t make hijrah (migration) I’ll kill them with whatever I can get, inshallah a few will be dead.
