As clashes broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinian youths in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, a young Palestinian was killed by the Israeli soldiers.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli forces attacked the Qaddura Refugee Camp in central Ramallah, and fired tear gas and live ammunition at the youths there, according to al-Aqsa satellite television.

Palestinian sources were quoted by the TV channel as saying that the Palestinian youth was shot dead by Israeli troops at his home in Ramallah.

Pictures of the Palestinian man’s house, showing traces of blood were also published.

However, Israeli media claimed that the troops killed the Palestinian after he opened fire on them.

Two young Palestinians were also wounded when Israeli forces fire live ammunition, and several others suffered symptoms of tear gas inhalation.

Since August 2015, tensions have heightened in the occupied Palestinian territories, as the Zionist regime imposed limits on the entry of Palestinian worshippers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem al-Quds.

As the clashes broke out in October, around 285 Palestinians lost their lives at the hands of Israeli troops.

The latest US move to assess the possibility of relocating the country’s embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv has also escalated the tensions.
