A senior member of Iran’s parliament has warned that should the US wages the slightest aggression on Iran, the country will respond by destroying US military base in Bahrain.
“The US army's fifth fleet has occupied a part of Bahrain, and the enemy's farthest military base is in the Indian Ocean but these points are all within the range of Iran's missile systems and they will be razed to the ground if the enemy makes a mistake,” said Mojtaba Zonour was quoted by Fars news agency as saying on Saturday evening.
He further said that if the enemy attacks Iran, it will immediately respond and will fire back at Tel Aviv.
“Only 7 minutes is needed for the Iranian missile to hit Tel Aviv,” Zonour said.
His remarks came hours after the country’s air force launched massive military drills dubbed “Modafe'an Harim-e Aseman Velayat” in Semnan Province on Saturday.
During the drills, Iran showcased its military might, intelligence command and defense capabilities to counter any threats.
Various types of missiles and radar systems were used during the exercises.
“All the equipment deployed in the air defense drills, including missile systems, radar systems, command control centers and electronic warfare were indigenous and made by Iranian experts and engineers,” Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said.
