The so-called "Islamic State" (ISIS) reportedly carried out the execution of a woman and her four children in Iraq's Kirkuk this week, a security source Al-Manar today.

According to Al-Manar, the Islamic State terrorist set fire on the mother and her four children for the "crime" of attempting to the leave the "caliphate."

Media reports confirmed that ISIL militants arrested the family, composed of a mother, three girls and one boy, on the Himreen Highway in northwest Iraq, and burnt them in front of other displaced civilians.

This heinous execution is just one of the documented crimes committed by the Islamic State this year and one of the many committed in Iraq and Syria.
