According to a latest report on Israel’s crackdown on Palestinian, the regime has detained 527 Palestinians in November alone.
The report which was released by the Palestinian prisoners’ society’s center authority of detainees and ex-detainees affairs on Saturday, said that 120 of those detained were children.
It also mentioned that the highest rate of arrests had taken place in East Jerusalem al-Quds.
The report estimated that around 7,000 Palestinians are currently being held in Israeli prisons, 700 of whom are in administrative detention.
Israeli regime jails Palestinians without trial or charge under its administrative detention for up to six months. The detention can be renewed an infinite number of times.
Some Palestinian prisoners have been detained in the so-called administrative detention for up to 11 years.
Some of the prisoners have went on hunger strikes in a bid to voice their anger at their imprisonment without charge or trial as well as their dire conditions in prisons.
Tensions have been increasing in the occupied territories ever since Israeli forces imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in August 2015.
More than 260 Palestinian people have been killed by the regime’s forces since the beginning of October 2015.
