indsay Lohan has asked the US president-elect Donald Trump to take a break from his busy schedule and visit Syria and Turkey with her.
The actress tweeted: "Please let me help you. #theworldisbiggerthan5come to Istanbul and Syria with me. You can see it first hand."
Lindsay Lohan's manager Scott Carlsen told The Telegraph the actress, who has spent time in refugee camps recently, she would follow through if Mr Trump accepted her invitation.
He said: "She wants the whole world to be informed about what is happening over there. It was eye opening for her to actually be immersed in it and she would love to share that with others.
"If Trump was up for it she would 100 per cent follow through."
Mr Trump's foreign policy appears to be against allowing more refugees in the country; with Newt Gingritch telling Fox News: "I suspect he is going to dramatically reinforce border control and customs agents and develop appropriate walls and fences which we know work.
"Hungary reduced the number of refugees coming in by 99 per cent in one day simply by building an effective fence and policing it. We know it can be done, countries have done it all over the world."
The hashtag #theworldisbiggerthan5 appears frequently on Ms Lohan's social media posts.
Turkey's president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan often says, "The world is bigger than five", by which he means the world is bigger than the United States, United Kingdom, France, China, and Russia. It is a critique of United Nations policy by those who think it gives the largest deal of decision-making power to these five countries.
This isn't Lindsay Lohan's first foray into politics. During the Brexit vote, the actress aired her views in a series of now-deleted tweets.
She asked The Telegraph: "What would #MARGARETTHATCHER THINK OF #Brexit ?" and seemed pro-Remain, tweeting: "Good luck with the pound.. will take you about 15 years to get it back up #REMAIN instead".
The actress also paid particular attention to the town of Kettering, writing: "#REMAIN Sorry, but #Kettering where are you and why is this woman @BBCNews speaking on people rather than TELLING us what will happen if UK LEAVES?"
This prompted controversy, with the MP for Kettering assuring the actress most people know where the town is - and a discussion about whether Ms Lohan will be turning on their Christmas lights.
The actress has also recently debuted a strange new accent, which appears to be a mix of many European dialects. It was noticed by many on social media, but Ms Lohan has taken it in her stride, selling a range of T-shirts for charity featuring the slogan: "I only speak LiLohan".
