DISTURBING footage has emerged of an ISIS sniper filming his own death with a bodycam during a brutal battle.
In the video, multiple shots are heard being fired nearby as the two sides battled in unknown Syrian territory.
A terrifying shot is then heard, which causes the ISIS fighter to let out an agonising yell before he falls to the ground.
It is unclear as to when the video was filmed but the incident is believed to have taken place during a one of the brutal battles between ISIS militants and the YPG – defence forces in the Kurdish area of Syria.
The region emerged after the Syrian civil war erupted in 2011 and started to spill over into Syrian Kurdistan, which is now known as Rojava or Western Kurdistan.
They are continuing to fight ISIS forces following fighting between the YPG and Islamist rebels in the city of Ras al-Ayn.
The footage comes following an air strike on a school in a rebel-held village in Syria.
According to local sources, at least 22 people – including 14 children – were killed.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also reported an attack on schools in Haas, Idlib, this morning.
It is not clear if the air strikes were carried out by the Syrian government or Russian forces.
