In a nine-minute Youtube video posted on Sunday, ISIS has called on its members to carry out terrorist attacks inside Russia.
"Listen Putin, we will come to Russia and will kill you at your homes ... Oh Brothers, carry out jihad and kill and fight them," a masked man said in the vide.
The subtitled video shows militants attacking armored vehicles and tents and collecting arms in the desert.
"Breaking into a barrack of the Rejectionist military on the international road south Akashat," read one part of the subtitle of the footage.
The footage was published on a Telegram messaging account belonging to the terrorist group and it was not at firs possible to verify the video.
The ISIS terrorists, however, did not make it clear why they are targeting Russia. But it might be because of the rise of Russia’s military operation against ISIS and al-Qaeda in Syria.
ISIS has declared war and has invited its members to do operations inside the countries that have been fighting the terrorist group.
There have been several incidents in which ISIS has tries to attack Iran, but the country’s intelligence agency were able to thwart the operations.
Over the past weeks, several deadly attacks took place in Europe and ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks. Last week, attackers from ISIS forced a Catholic priest in France and cut his throat.
