A top European official says al-Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front in Syria receives chemical weapons from Saudi Arabia on a regular basis.
Haitham Abu, secretary of the European Department for security and information, said that the Nusra Front terrorists regularly receive and use the chemical weapons provided by Saudi Arabia in their attacks on Syrian civilians.
Abu said Nusra Front terrorists have used weapons containing chemical agents against Syrian civilians. The weapons are coming from the Jordanian border into Syria every month and have been used by terrorist recently in the key northwestern province of Aleppo.
International organizations have documented several such incidents in the past, he said.
Russian Defense Ministry have also said that several trucks carrying have been transported to Aleppo from neighboring Idlib.
“The arms are said to contain chlorine-based toxins,” the ministry said in a statement.
