Muslimpress: Every year many people from all over the world gather near the shrine of the third Shia Imam(Imam Hussein(AS)) on a day calledArbaeen. The number of the travelers passed 20 million, last year. All the travelers walked the long distance to the shrine. The main reason behind this event is honoring the third Imam of the Shias, the one who accepted the call for help from his tribe on the 61styear of Islamic calendar. And moved toward them but was killed beside his family due to the infidelity of the tribe. Muslims travel to the shrine on the 40th day of his martyrdom (Arbaeen) to show their faith toward the Imam. Participation of people from different countries with different religion adds to the importance of the event. This year also many people are trying to participate in this march. While pilgrims walk the distance from Najaf to Karbala, which is over 80 kilometers, they enjoy the kind hosts. People from Iraq take care of the passengers and accept them at their homes and feed them. Many non-Muslims talk about the kindness and the friendliness of the path and the hosts.
