Three people were killed Friday in a bomb attack at the Mogadishu International Airport in Somalia. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the car bombing. The attack came despite tight security measures at the airport following another bombing at the airport earlier this week. On February 2, a bomber detonated an explosive hidden in a wheelchair soon after takeoff, blowing a hole in a Daallo Airlines Airbus A321's fuselage but did not cause it to crash. The force of the blast ejected the alleged bomber from the cabin. His body was recovered near the town of Balad, about 30 kilometers (20 miles) from Mogadishu. The al-Shabaab militant group claimed responsibility for that attack.
